Parapet and Slab Edge Protection
This month Stronghold Hire were asked to provide edge protection to 2 balconies to allow safe access whilst work is being carried out. The client needed to waterproof the area so requested no drilling take place and that no anchors were to be used. Two of the systems we use do not require anchors.
Edge Protection System
This job had a small upturn or ‘hob’ all the way around the rooftop. It was just enough for us to use our parapet clamp system.
Benefit of Parapet & Slab System
The benefits of the parapet and slab edge protection system used meant that the builder was able to complete the work needed and remain safe. He not only protected himself but others on the work site. This collective form of fall protection is rated for multiple users and doesn’t require any personal fall protective equipment and no specific training to use. One of the reasons that we decided to choose the edge rail system that we provide, is that it can integrate easily with scaffolding. On this project, we used scaffolding to allow hoist access. Another benefit is that the parapet system is very quick to install thus allowing a quick install and minimal downtime for the builder.
