We here at Stronghold Hire hope you all had a joyful Christmas and a happy new year. We are back and excited as ever to get going. Last year we saw a big growth in both our shrink wrap and edge protection division. We as a company are delighted that the relentless rain schedule is behind us and are looking forward to seeing what 2023 has in store. This year we have big plans and some exciting news so keep your eyes peeled!
New Year, Same Goals
The year may have changed but our aim hasn’t. We continue to provide a high quality, safe and reliable service on all jobs we undertake. We keep on trying to push up the industry standards and keep as many people safe at work as possible. We strive to be the best, and pride ourselves on the continued repeat custom of returning customers. We may not be the cheapest, but we promise to deliver a high-quality service throughout, putting quality first.
Taking Things to the Max
On the scaffolding side of things, we have internally undergone some changes. Most of you who have hired scaffolding from us will have met Max, Max has been with Stronghold Hire for over 10 years! We are bringing Max our senior scaffolder into the office as our Logistical Coordinator. Max brings a wealth of knowledge to this role, and we are excited to see him develop further. We hope you will join us in congratulating and wishing Max all the best in his new role. Don’t worry too much Max will still be out and about too so you will still get to see him.
Shrink Wrap Division Not Shrinking
We saw another busy year with our shrink wrap division due to the wet weather but shrink wrap has also picked up on the encapsulation of goods to be transported and of the encapsulation of areas of hazardous work such as sandblasting and painting. We also have shrink-wrapped a number of high-end boats. We continue to do unique and different projects with the shrink-wrap division, but we also continue to shrink-wrap your standard buildings. We have trained more of our staff on how to shrink-wrap as part of our continuing development pathways program that we run at Stronghold Hire.
Edge Rail and Fall Protection Division
Finally, our Edge Rail and Fall Protection division saw large growth and interest in 2022 as quotes, requests and projects increased substantially. Since 2021 and throughout 2022 we invested heavily in getting AS/NZS 4994.2 compliant equipment. We now believe that we have one of, if not the safest edge protection on the market currently. 2022 also saw us bring in a Working at Heights Specialist from the UK. Felix worked in the UK for the global company Kee Safety as a fall protection installation technician, coming from a safety company Felix brings a wealth of knowledge as well as a safety focus to our business.
