Welcome to 2026 and a Review of 2025
As we welcome the new year, the team at Stronghold Hire would like to thank our clients, builders, and partners for their continued support. Last year was one of our strongest yet, marked by growth across all divisions, increased capability, and a continued commitment to raising the bar on safety, efficiency, and project delivery.
Reflecting on a Big Year
The past year saw Stronghold Hire expand both in scale and capability. Demand across scaffolding, shrink wrap, and edge protection continued to grow, and we responded by investing in people, equipment, and systems to ensure we could keep delivering reliable, high-quality solutions across Sydney and beyond.
Scaffolding: More Capability, Better Access
On the scaffolding side of the business, we significantly increased our transport capabilities with the addition of a new 3-tonne truck. This truck has already proven to be a major asset—large enough to efficiently move equipment, yet compact enough to access sites with very tight or restricted access. This gives us a clear edge over many competitors and allows us to service projects that others simply can’t. We also expanded our steel and aluminium scaffold stock, enabling us to handle a higher volume of simultaneous projects while maintaining flexibility for complex and custom builds.
Behind the scenes, Michael, our scaffold storage yard supervisor, has played a crucial role in keeping up with growing demand. His organisation and oversight ensure equipment is turned around efficiently, prepared correctly, and ready to go when projects need it—an often unseen but vital part of our operation.
Importantly, Max and Ryan remain a key driving force within the business. Together, they continue to push the boundaries of what Stronghold Hire can achieve – both in the >volume of projects we deliver and the complexity of the scaffolding solutions we provide. Their experience and leadership were instrumental in making last year such a success.
Record Year for Shrink Wrap
Last year delivered a record number of shrink wrap projects, completed across a wide range of applications and environments. Our experienced crews consistently delivered efficient, safe, and reliable results—even under challenging conditions. That momentum has carried straight into the new year, with a strong pipeline of shrink wrap projects already booked in, setting the tone for another busy and successful year ahead.
Edge Rail: Stronger Than Ever
Our Edge Rail division continues to go from strength to strength under the leadership of Felix, who runs the division and drives its ongoing development. Over the past year, the team has expanded with new employees who have been fully trained and hold WAH (Working at Heights), EWP and basic scaffolding tickets.
While temporary edge rail installation does not legally require formal qualifications, Stronghold Hire has made a deliberate decision to invest heavily in training. As a result, our edge rail installers are likely the most qualified in Sydney, bringing an unmatched level of competence, safety awareness, and professionalism to every site.
We’ve also expanded our temporary edge protection equipment range to include nine different bracket types, making us one of the most versatile edge protection providers available and allowing us to adapt to almost any structure or build stage with confidence.
The Team Behind the Scenes
No successful year would be possible without strong support behind the scenes. Alisha, who runs our ccounts, administration, and office operations, continues to be a cornerstone of Stronghold Hire. Her organisation, attention to detail, and ability to keep everything running smoothly ensures our projects, clients, and teams are supported every step of the way.
Looking Ahead
With strong bookings, expanded resources, and a highly experienced team, Stronghold Hire enters the new year in a great position. Our focus remains unchanged: delivering safe, efficient, and practical access and protection solutions while continuing to invest in the people and equipment that set us apart. We look forward to another big year working alongside our clients and partners—and to continuing to raise the standard across scaffolding, shrink wrap, and edge protection.
